Ethylamine is a volatile amine with the molecular structure CH3CH2NH2. It has a strong ammonia-like smell. It is miscible with water, ethanol and diethyl ether. Ethylamine is used in resin chemistry, as a stabilizer for rubber latex, in oil manufacturing and as an intermediate in the manufacture of dyes, pharmaceuticals, and other products. It is also used in cigarettes.
