Fertőd (former Esterháza and Süttör unified in 1950) is a city in Hungary near Austria, part of Győr-Moson-Sopron province. It is famous for the Esterházy Castle, also known as the "Hungarian Versailles". The Eszterházy Castle or Palace is Hungary's grandest Rococo monument. Its proprietor, Prince Miklós Eszterházy, was dubbed Miklós the Magnificent.
