Estcourt Station, Maine (pop. 4) is a hamlet in northern Maine. It is the northernmost point in Maine and in New England. Estcourt Station doesn't have any road. Only a couple of houses on a Canadian road are on the U.S. side of the border. Those houses use Quebec 418 area code, are connected to Hydro-Quebec for electricity, receive water and other services from Pohenegamook, Quebec, which is the town on the other side of the border.

There is a Border control station on both sides of the border. In Oct. 2002, there was an "unfortunate" border incident (referred to such by Secretary of State Colin Powell, below) that implicated Michel Jalbert - a Pohenegamook resident, who was imprisoned for a couple of months in the US, for purchasing gas at the other side of the border without authorization from US Customs.
