Eric Michael Wedge (b. January 27, 1968; Fort Wayne, Indiana) is the current manager of the Cleveland Indians of Major League Baseball's American League Central Division; he is currently the youngest acting manager. He played collegiate baseball at Wichita State University and was a catcher. He advanced to the major league for sporadic play from 1991 to 1994, primarily as a designated hitter for the Boston Red Sox. Before becoming the manager of the Indians, he managed the team's AAA-division Buffalo Bisons. He replaced interim manager Joel Skinner at the beginning of the 2003 season.
