Electronic was the 1991 self-titled debut by British supergroup Electronic.
In addition to the group's full time members, Bernard Sumner (New Order, Joy Division) and Johnny Marr (The Smiths), Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of the Pet Shop Boys appeared on the song "The Patience of a Saint". Tennant had also worked with the group on their 1989 hit single, "Getting Away With It".
Electronic was a commercial success, reaching #2 on the UK charts, and selling over a million copies worldwide. Critically it was also successful; Melody Maker ranked it #15 in their top albums of 1991.
The album was supported by three dates in Paris, Scotland and London in December 1991. Pet Shop Boys joined Sumner and Marr for three numbers on the last concert, namely "Getting Away With It", "The Patience Of A Saint" and the then-unreleased song "Disappointed".
The album spawned two singles, "Get the Message" and "Feel Every Beat".
All songs by Sumner/Marr, except "Getting Away With It" (Sumner/Marr/Tennant) and "The Patience of a Saint" (Sumner/Marr/Tennant/Lowe).
