Elative (from Latin efferre "to bring or carry out") is a locative case with the basic meaning "out of".

In Finnish elative is typically formed by adding "sta/stä", in Estonian - "st" to the genitive stem. In Hungarian suffix "ból/ből" is used for elative.

"talosta" - "out of the house, from house" (Finnish)
"majast" - "out of the house, from house" (Estonian)
"házból" - "out of house" (Hungarian)
