EISPACK is a software library for numerical computing written in Fortran 77. It contains subroutines for calculating the eigenvalues of several classes of matricies. EISPACK can be used to calculate the eigenvalues of any complex matrix, but may be more efficient if the matrix is known to be in one of several special classes of matricies.

EISPACK has been superseded mostly by LAPACK.
