Andrew "Drew" John Lachey (born August 8, 1976 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American singer and actor.

Lachey starred in pop group 98 Degrees, alongside his brother Nick Lachey, and other band members, Justin Jeffre and Jeff Timmons. Prior to this, he was an EMT, was in the United States Army, worked in a deli, and was a camp counselor. Since 98 Degrees, Lachey has had a guest appearance on Hollywood Squares in 2001, performed on Broadway as Mark Cohen in the musical Rent from January 3 to March 21, 2005, and has also had several guest appearances on Nick's MTV show Newlyweds.

Lachey was a celebrity contestant on the second season of Dancing with the Stars. His partner was Cheryl Burke. At the beginning of the sixth week of competition (aired in February of 2006), Lachey and Burke earned a perfect score of 30 with their tango. In the eighth and final week, they earned a score of 30 on each of their two dances, the Paso Doble and freestyle, giving them the highest score for the week. On February 26, 2006, they were crowned the champions of Dancing with the Stars.

Lachey co-hosted the 2006 Miss USA pageant with Access Hollywood star Nancy O'Dell. The pageant aired live on NBC from Baltimore, Maryland on April 21, 2006.

Lachey married Lea Dellecave on October 15, 2000. They were childhood and high school sweethearts and she was the choreographer for 98 Degrees, as well as one of the dancers. Their first child, daughter Isabella Claire Lachey, was born on March 23, 2006 in Los Angeles, California, weighing 7lbs. 2oz.

Drew Lachey, as of June 2006, is the “prize” of a charity auction on eBay. The nature of this auction for charity is quite unique in that a celebrity has put himself up for auction to the female general public. The highest female bidder is to receive a dance lesson in classical forms such as Ballroom, and Latin, and then accompany the “Dancing with the Stars” crowned champion to the Extra Long Dance-A-Thon, an event hosted by Extra gum to support the “Dancing Classrooms” program, which brings dance curriculum to New York public schools. The event is looked at as hopeful by dance communities. This is not only due to the fact that Lachey’s auction stands to raise a great deal of money for public school dance programs, and the $25,000 donation from Wrigley Gum (the hosts) to “Dancing Classrooms” but also because of the public nature of the event. From the press release:

The Extra Long Dance-a-Thon will feature non-stop dancing from noon until the sun goes down. Drew Lachey and the winning bidder will have the honor of the first dance, after which the doors will be open to the public. New York City public school students who participate in the Dancing Classrooms program will be in attendance after school lets out at 3:00 p.m. Pierre Duliane, founder of Dancing Classrooms, will also dance periodically throughout the afternoon and evening.

“It’s really amazing how popular dancing has become and I’m thrilled to be part of the Extra Long Dance-a-Thon,” said Drew Lachey. “What an honor it will be to share the dance floor with these students and raise money for such a worthwhile intiative.”

The auction ends on June 14th, 2006.
