Doc Searls is a widely-read blogger and a columnist and senior editor for Linux Journal. He is often credited for originating the quote "Markets are conversations". This quote refers to ideas in The Cluetrain Manifesto that describe how the Internet has forever changed corporate marketing.
He published, along with David Weinberger, the seminal article about the Internet "World of Ends: What the Internet Is and How to Stop Mistaking It for Something Else".
