Dick "Dik" Evans is the brother of David "The Edge" Evans, U2 guitarist. The Evans brothers both played guitar in the initial line-up of the band, known as "The Hype," sharing their homemade guitar. Evans left in the middle of a Hype gig to join fellow Dublin scenesters the Virgin Prunes. "The Hype" would go on to become U2.
