Dendropsophus is a genus of frogs in the Hylidae family. This genus was resurrected in 2005 following a major revision of the Hylidae family *. 88 species that were previously placed in the Hyla genus were moved to this genus. All species formerly in Hyla believed to have 30 chromosomes were moved here.
