Deerfield River is a river in Vermont and Massachusetts. It flows through Western Massachusetts, in particular, in Franklin County through its namesake town. In Shelburne Falls, the glacial potholes and the Bridge of Flowers are popular tourist attractions around the river. It holds several key places for kayaking, tubing, swimming, camping, and jumping off the cliffs that enclose it. A spot by the Stillwater Bridge in Deerfield is a popular swimming area, where jumping off impressive cliffs is condoned but not advised.
