Deborah Kara Unger (born May 12, 1963 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) is a Canadian actress. Before becoming an actress, she studied economics and philosophy at University of British Columbia. She was later accepted into Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (the first Canadian to do so). Her mother is a nuclear scientist and father is a gynaecologist. When Deborah is not working, she resides in either Vancouver or Los Angeles, California, USA.
