Davidson & Associates is a software company, famous for creating the Blaster series of computer games. It was started by Bob Davidson and Jan Davidson, who later went on to create the Davidson Institute for Talent Development.
Bob Davidson became Chairman and CEO of Davidson and Associates, Inc. in 1989. At that time, the company's revenues were just shy of eight million dollars a year. Jan Davidson continued her role as President focusing her energies on building the product development side of the business, and Bob focused on faster growth for the company. In the next few years, he formed strategic partnerships with Fisher Price, Simon & Schuster, and made several strategic acquisitions. One was a small entertainment software developer, Blizzard Entertainment, whose products Warcraft™, StarCraft™, and Diablo™ became runaway best sellers.
