David R. Palmer, born 1941, is a science fiction author who has been nominated twice for Hugo Awards. He is married and lives in Florida *.

Published works

His first novel, Emergence (ISBN 0553255193), won the Compton Crook Award in 1985. It arose from a short story by the same title featured in an Analog anthology called Children of the Future; both versions also won reader's choice awards from Analog.

His second novel, Threshold, was published in 1985, to somewhat lesser acclaim. Reports of a sequel "in the works" have been unverified ever since, although it may be the same manuscript he is reported to have finished in 1989, To Halt Armageddon (ISBN 0553256262).
