Daniel Alexander Singer (September 26, 1926 – December 2, 2000) was a socialist writer and journalist. He was, perhaps, best known for his articles for The Nation in the United States and for The Economist in Britain. His posthumous book Deserter from Death is published by Nation Books.
The Guardian's obituary reported, that: 'At his request, the announcement of his death was accompanied by a quotation from Rosa Luxemburg : "Tomorrow, the revolution will raise its head again, Proclaiming to your horror amidst a blaze of trumpets, I was, I am, I always shall be."'
