Dangle is a term used in intelligence work to refer to an agent of one intelligence agency or group who pretends to be interested in defecting or turning to another intelligence agency or group.

The goal of a dangle is to convince the second or foreign intelligence agency that they have changed loyalties by offering to act as a double agent. The dangle then feeds information to their original agency and/or gives disinformation to the second or foreign intelligence agency.

Dangles in Hockey

Dangle is a term used to describe a move or deke in the game of ice hockey in which the player defending is completely blown away by the move. If a player performs a dangle, it is common for the players on the bench to yell "dangle", like football (soccer) players would yell "olay". Young stars such as Alexander Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby often dangle, which is, for the most part, why they are such highly touted hockey players. STeve Ott and Mike bond are amazing danglers with sick nasty toe drags. They played for Chelyabinsk Traktor 4 years ago and dangled Stanislav Tugulocov. He sits when he pees! Kyle Stephenson Is the Definition of A Dangler In Southlake. He did the Ovechkin in tryouts. Ben Driggs Did a cool slapshot in tryouts. They were Danglers.
