Dan Donegan, (born on August 1, 1968 in Oak Lawn, Illinois) is an American musician, and guitarist for hard rock or heavy metal band Disturbed. He began playing guitar as a teenager and eventually formed a band called Vandal, which was an 80's style hair band. Also during his teen years, Dan had long hair. According to Disturbed DVD title M.O.L, Dan got a job with his father doing construction work. He was required to cut his hair for it, but instead opted to wear a wig in order to fool his dad and keep his long hair. It worked, and his dad eventually let him keep his long hair.

Dan played Gibson guitars for a while, then Paul Reed Smith Guitars and then,Washburn Guitars custom built Dan his very own series called the Maya Series. The guitars are sharp looking, and they're named after his daughter Maya. But Donegan has found a new face in guitars after playing a PRS Tremonti guitars. Which was used in Disturbed's album Believe. To Date, Donegan uses the Maya Signature Series guitars equipped with GHS gauge 10-46 Strings. He uses them in a drop Db tuning. his Amps vary from wherever Disturbed plays at. He claims he uses Randall amps for the Indoor events. And uses MESA Engineering Triple Rectifier amps for the outside Concerts. He does this to Keep the Sponsors Happy! he told a fan on his Myspace Page.
