Dalakhani is a racehorse owned and bred by HH Aga Khan IV, and trained by Alain de Royer-Dupre. He was sired by Darshaan covering Daltawa (Miswaki), and is therefore half-brother to Daylami. He was foaled in 2000. He won four G1 races: Critérium International (as a two-year old), Prix Lupin, Prix du Jockey Club and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, being beaten by half a length in the Irish Derby by another Aga Khan Studs horse, Alamshar. He also won two G2 races, and overall won eight of nine starts.
