The following is a list of powiats in Poland. A Powiat (pronounced povyat) is a second level of Polish administrative division, between voivodships and communes. As such it is roughly equivalent to prefectures, counties or districts in other countries. There is no official equivalent of the name in English and many of the local administration members use any of the abovementioned names, while others leave it untranslated.

Note that some of the towns listed below can be centres of more than one powiat. The reason for that is that in several cases the town itself and its surroundings form separate units of administrative division. It is usually the case of large cities, but also several smaller towns.
