Coop Himmelb(l)au (1968-) is an architectural design firm primarily located in Vienna, Austria and which now also maintains offices in Los Angeles, United States and Guadalajara, Mexico.

Coop Himmelblau was founded by Wolf Prix, Helmut Swiczinsky, and Michael Holzer and gained international acclaim alongside Peter Eisenman, Zaha Hadid, Frank Gehry and Daniel Libeskind with the 1988 exhibition, "Deconstructivist Architecture" at the Museum of Modern Art. Their work ranges from public projects to office and research fascilites, while they also explore theater and exhibition design.

The firm's name Himmelblau translates from German into English as 'heaven blue', Himmelbau translates to 'heaven construction'. The term Coop in the title is pronounced as is the business abbreviation for cooperative, co-op. Their projects are driven by critical theory, poetic transubstantiation of technology and the complex usage or programs that they house. The temporary, theoretical, and exhibition projects of their founding two decades have led to a highly original and productive stint of buildings in the 1990s and the early twenty-first century.
