A concealer is a type of makeup used to cover pimples, dark circles and other small blemishes visible on the skin. Women mainly use this product.

Depending on what is being covered, concealer may be yellow, green or matched exactly to the wearers skin tone. Yellow concealer neutralizes the blues and purples of dark circles or bruising. Green concealer neutralizes the reds of pimples or other irritated marks. Concealers that match skin tone are often used to cover birth marks or tattoos.

Concealers are typically used in conjuction with foundation rather than by themselves for optimal effect.
