The Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto האקדמיה העברית (CHAT) is a secondary Jewish day school which is located on two campuses in the Greater Toronto Area in Canada. The Tanenbaum campus is located at 200 Wilmington Ave. in the Downsview section of Toronto, and serves students living south of Steeles Avenue. The Richmond Hill Campus is located at 54 Wright St. in Richmond Hill, and serves students living north of Steeles.

Feeder patterns


Elementary schools that feed into C.H.A.T. include Associated Hebrew Schools, Bialik Hebrew Day School, Leo Baeck Day School, United Synagogue Day School and Netivot HaTorah Day School. There is also a New Stream program for students who did not previously attend a Jewish School.

Future plans


In September 2007, the Richmond Hill campus of CHAT is slated to move into the new Kimel Family Education Centre at Bathurst St. and Weldrick Rd. in Vaughan. Capital improvements at the Tanenbaum campus are also planned in the near future.
