The Chlotrudis Society for Independent Film is a Boston-area non-profit organization that teaches audiences to view films actively through discussion, formal and informal education, discourse, film festivals, special screenings and collaboration. Their focus is on international and independent film. Among the Society's many activities, are the Chlotrudis Awards an annual ceremony where the best of the previous year's independent and international film are honores, an annual short film festival, and a weekly film discussion event called the Sunday Eye Opener. They are an active force in the Boston and Cambridge film scene.
