article

The Celtic Alliance of America was formed to raise awareness within the U.S. to the problems facing the Irish, Scottish, Cornish, and Welsh nations and what they see as their struggle for freedom and equality. It supports certain groups in Wales, Scotland, Cornwall, and Ireland that are working to progress their native languages; and are working toward independent Irish, Scottish, Cornish, and Welsh nations.

Other stated aims

  • Action from CAA will be in the form of contribution and support for Irish, Scottish, Cornish, Breton, and Welsh political, prisoner, language, and pressure groups. Also through educational campaigns aimed at educating the American public.
  • The CAA state that they are against 'loyalist death squads', 'racist neo-nazi groups', and what they refer to as 'occupying British and French forces within Ireland, Scotland, Cornwall, Brittany, and Wales'.
  • To support 'political prisoners' who have been mistreated and denied political status within English jails.
  • CAA's aims if the very least are to educate the public in America about the problems within Ireland, Scotland, Cornwall, and Wales.
