Casino Royale is a small casino and motel located on the East side of the Las Vegas Strip, between Harrah's Las Vegas and The Venetian. The casino caters to low rollers, and features low table minimums for roulette, craps, and blackjack. The casino often employs people handing out coupons inviting people inside and seems to rely heavily on street traffic for their business. The parking lot behind Casino Royale is a little known secret with some of the most convenient and closest parking to the Las Vegas Strip.
Casino Royale is the only casino in Las Vegas that has 100x odds on craps at all times. The minimum bet on Casino Royale's 100x odds craps tables is usually two dollars (although it is raised to three dollars at busy times such as Super Bowl Weekend or New Year's).
The first building on this site was Frank Musso's Restaurant, located next door to the Sands Hotel Casino. Musso's was in business during the 1950's and 60's. Later it became Joey's New Yorker Night Club, then the Nob Hill Casino. The Nob Hill was opened in 1978 and closed in 1990. On January 1, 1992 it was reopened as Casino Royale. It purchased the adjacent Travelodge and used it as its hotel rooms. The Nob Hill was well known as lower limit and fun place to play and relax at a casino on the Strip in the 1980's. The Nob Hill featured .25 craps, and .10 roulette with a minimum $5.00 buy in, which was the lowest limit on the Las Vegas Strip.
