Carnation is the name of a brand of evaporated milk, milk-flavoring mixes, flavored beverages, flavor syrups, hot cocoa mixes, instant breakfasts, and ice cream novelties. It is known for its red and white label, and the brand was acquired by Nestlé in 1985. The Carnation brand of milk products began production as the Pacific Coast Condensed Milk Company in Kent, Washington. The brand name was chosen by E.A. Stuart in Seattle around the turn of the 20th century. Later, the breeding and research farm for Carnation products lead to name the town of Carnation, Washington. The farm still exists today in the outskirts of the town.
