Capital Area Transit provides bus service for Raleigh, North Carolina.

Routes


During regular service hours CAT operates 27 routes. This includes: 18 Routes serving Downtown Raleigh. 8 Routes not serving Downtown Raleigh. 1 Express Route note serving Downtown Raleigh.

Hours of Operation


CAT Busses operate 4:30am-12:00am Monday-Saturday 8:00am-8:00pm Sunday

Frequency


Most busses run about once per hour, about once per 30 minutes 6am-10am, 3pm-7pm Monday-Friday. There are some exceptions to this. Route 3: 20 min peak, 40 min off-peak M-Sa. Route 13: 30 min regular hours M-Sa. Route 15: 10 - 20 min peak hours, 30 min off-peak M-F. Route 22: 30 min regular hours M-Sa. Route 25: 1 hr all day. Route 8c: 1 hr all day. Route 11c: 1 hr all day. Roue 70e: 1 hr peak and evenings only.

Regional (Good on CAT, TTA, DATA, CTRAN, and OPT) 30 Day $64 1 Day $4

Seniors & Disabled get 1/2 price on all passes.

Trolley


The Raleigh Trolley follows a set loop downtown about every 15 min Thu-Saturday 5:30pm-11:30pm. It is Free.

Service Changes


CAT makes changes to routes about once per year. FALL 2006 Extended Hour Connectors: Convert to fixed routes (service will likley be a little more than Sunday Service). Route 2: Dartmouth Rd to Camelot Dr to Hardimont Rd Inbound rather than outbound. Route 4: Extended to serve route 6c. No longer serve Edwards Mill Road. Route 6c: No longer will run, to be served by route 4. Route 16: From Glenwood Village- Continue to Crabtree Valley Mall. End of Line at Rex Hospital via Edwards Mill Road. 24c: Use Dartmouth Rd to Camelot Dr to Hardimont Rd Eastbound (as bus 2 runs Sunday).
