Buena Vista Games is a video game publishing division of The Walt Disney Company. BVG was created to publish and license video games based on both Disney properties and original intellectual property. Once known as Disney Interactive, BVG publishes and licenses games for both the core gamer audience and children.

In 2006, the company will publish games based on Dead Man's Chest and Desperate Housewives, and May of this year, BVG announced that it is publishing Spectrobes, for the Nintendo DS, which will be BVG's first game not based on a Disney franchise. BVG is also publishing games from Q Entertainment worldwide except Asia: Lumines II, the sequel to the popular puzzle game for the PSP system; Lumines Plus, a new version of Lumines for the PlayStation 2; Every Extend Extra, a puzzle shooter; and Disney Edition, the popular Meteos game for the Nintendo DS with Disney characters.

The company has recently released a full line up of games at E3 2006, which include Turok(BVG game) and other games based off their hit television shows. and their upcoming movies along with the large portfolio of Disney's subsidiaries such as American Broadcasting Company (ABC),and Hyperion Books.

Buena Vista Games in 2005 acquired two external game development studios, Propaganda Games, who has four video game veterans as the company head and BVG has given them the project Turok, and Avalanche Software, the developers of the hit franchise Tak as of 2005 have also become an owned subsidiary of Walt Disney's BVG. The president of Avalanche Software announced in a press release that he was very glad to be joining the biggest entertainment company in the world. Avalanche is currently developing two announced games -- Disney's Chicken Little: Ace in Action (based on the superhero movie within a movie at the end of the Chicken Little film) and Disney's Meet The Robinsons, based on the upcoming CG animation film.
