Brian Patrick Dawkins Sr. (born October 13, 1973 in Jacksonville, Florida) is an American football player who currently plays free safety for the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL. Dawkins attended Clemson University, starting as strong safety for three years. He is widely considered to be one of the best safeties in the NFL. He was selected four times to play in the Pro Bowl. On April 28, 2003, Dawkins was awarded with a seven-year contract from the Philadelphia Eagles (http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com).

High school career


While attending Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida, Dawkins was an All-State selection, and helped lead his team to 30 consecutive victories.
