"Breathe" is an pop–dance song written by Australian singer Kylie Minogue, Dave Ball and Ingo Vauk for Minogue's sixth album Impossible Princess (1997). The song was produced by Ball and Vauk and received a mixed reception from music critics. The song was released as the third single in the first quarter of 1998 (see 1998 in music) and reached the top twenty in the United Kingdom, where it became Minogue's twenty-eighth consecutive top forty hit. It reached the top twenty in Russia and South Africa and the top thirty in Australia. The single was Minogue's final international release on Deconstruction Records.
Outside of the UK, the song was also a modest success. It reached number one in Israel and number three in Russia. However, airplay was limited. In Australia, the song was released on March 9 1998, and it debuted at number twenty-three on the singles chart before quickly falling off the chart.
