The Brainstorm Crew, Rob Hannan, Richard Carter, and Richard Elliott were a group of dance musicians from the 1992 rave era, initially releasing a white label in 1991 entitled 'The Southey Woods EP' the name taken from the woods in the East of England, where they held weekly outdoor raves. They were later signed to Formation Records and released records on the main label as well as their subsidiary label, 'F-Project'. The band split in 1993. Richard Elliott, head of the Solaris Studios network, continued to release another single on F-Project, entitled "Wise Ones" as well as further singles and remixes on various labels and currently involved in the Hardcore Breaks scene. Richard Carter went on to release a number of trance and funky house singles for OPM records (Other Peoples Music) under the name Just for Kicks in addition to remix work and television soundtracks.
