Boreray (Scottish Gaelic: Boraraigh) is an island in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland which lies 2km north of North Uist.
The island was occupied from prehistoric times and through the 19th century there were over 100 people living there, but in 1923, the island was evacuated on the request of the islanders. One family stayed on but the last inhabitants left in the late 1960s. The grazing rights now belong to the crofters of the nearby island of Berneray.
