Boomerang was a horse ridden by Eddie Macken. He won many Top International Competitions in the sport of Show Jumping, and is considered by some to be the best Irish Sport Horse to compete in jumping.

Boomerang first came into contact with Eddie Macken when he was sent to Iris Kellett's Co.Kildare yard, as eddie was stable jockey. He jumped at the Dublin Spring Show (RDS) as a four-year-old in 1970. Boomerang and eddie won four consecutive Hickstead Derby's from 1976 to 1979, and also the Hamburg equivalent in 1976. They were part of the team that won the Aga Khan Trophy (Ireland's Nations Cup) from 1976 to 1979. The pair won the Grand Prix's in seven cities and claimed the main class at Horse of the Year Show and the Royal International seven times. Boomerang died in 1983. He is buried at Rafeehan Stud, Kells, County Meath.
