Blender is an American magazine that bills itself as "the ultimate guide to music and more." It is also known for sometimes steamy pictorials of female celebrities.
It compiles many lists of albums, artists, and songs, including both "best of" lists and "worst of" lists. Its "best of" lists typically alternate popular choices with more obscure selections, while its "worst of" lists are generally dominated by popular fare. In each issue, there is a review of an artist's entire discography, with each album being given at least one paragraph.
Blender teamed up with VH1 to create the "100 Most Awesomely Bad Songs", at which, "We Built This City" by Jefferson Airplane was at number one.
Seth MacFarlane, the creator of the hit TV series Family Guy, stated that Blender had suggested that there were tensions between him and The Simpsons creator, Matt Groening, which MacFarlane has denied.
It is very similar to the British Q Magazine.
In an interview in 2004, Christina Aguilera stated that the magazine had fabricated some of the things she had said in interviews for a 2003 feature and re-worded some of her phrases to make them seem more harsh.
