Beta Ophiuchi (β Oph / β Ophiuchi) is a star in the constellation Ophiuchus. It also has traditional names Cebalrai (Arabic: "shepherd dog"), Cheleb, or Kelb Alrai, or sometimes just Alrai.

Beta Ophiuchi has apparent magnitude +2.8 and is of spectral class K2. It is approximately 84 light years from Earth.
