Patrick Bernard O'Mahoney - born 24th March 1960 in Wolverhampton, England - is an English born crime author of Irish descent.

Titles

Soldier of the Queen - published 2000, is O'Mahoney's autobiography and includes extracts about his time in the army and his family background.

Hateland - published 2004, tells of the racism and football hooliganism with which O'Mahoney was once associated but is now opposed to. The key figure in this book is the notorious London nail bomber David Copeland.

Wannabe in my gang - published 2003, tells the story of the London gangland underworld and goes into details with the lives of the Kray Twins and their associates.

Please don't tell - due for publiciation in the near future, focuses on child abuse and murder - namely the murder of Hartlepool toddler Rosie Palmer at the hands of Shaun Armstrong. O'Mahoney posed as a woman and wrote to Armstrong while he was on remand, and during that time Armstrong confessed to the killing and also revealed that he was planning to feign a mental illness in hope of being convicted of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility. O'Mahoney gave Armstrong's written confession to the police and admitted murder, for which he was sentenced to life imprisonment. Armstrong was later granted legal aid to pursue a £15,000 damages claim against O'Mahoney, but later dropped his case.
