The Beast is a wooden roller coaster located at Paramount's Kings Island near Cincinnati, Ohio. It is currently the longest wooden roller coaster in both track length and ride time. It was also the fastest wooden roller coaster in the world until Kings Island opened Son of Beast in 2000.

The Beast has been constantly rated as one of the top roller coasters in the world since it first opened, having earned itself a cult-like following among some coaster enthusiasts. For over a decade, it was the main attraction at Paramount's Kings Island, located at the rear of the park and easily found by following the painted paw prints on some of the park's pathways.

To date, over 33 million riders have ridden The Beast.

The Beast is one of the very few roller coasters with a second lift hill.

2 Due to its construction (follows the contours of the land), the drop is larger than its height.
