Bdale Garbee is a former Debian Project Leader and current HP Linux CTO. His full name is Barksdale Garbee; his first name is in honor of his maternal grandfather, Alfred D. Barksdale.
Bdale was the first and thus far the only DPL to not succeed himself while still being a candidate in the election after his first term.
