Bar-sur-Seine is a commune of the Aube département, in France. A rather quiet, pleasant, but run-down town just off the A5 autoroute. The exit is actually at Magnant, which is a tiny village notable for an excellent motel - fairly comfortable rooms but superb, good-value local cooking. Bar-sur-Seine has a useful commercial area with cheap fuel for motorists. The most impressive architectural feature is a large warehouse type building on the edge of the river Seine, which has been in restoration for as long as I can remember!
