The Banjo-Kazooie games are a series of 3D platform/adventure video games created by Rareware in 1998. The game stars a bear named Banjo and a bird named Kazooie who go off on numerous adventures to try and stop the evil plans of the witch Gruntilda.
There are currently four games in the series, with a fifth game under development.
The first game in the series. Released in 1998 on the Nintendo 64. Banjo's sister, Tooty, has been kidnapped by the witch Gruntilda and it's up to the bear and bird duo to save her.
The third game in the series and the second in chronological order. Released in 2003 on the Game Boy Advance. Gruntilda travels back in time to prevent Banjo and Kazooie from ever meeting.
The fourth game in the series and the third in chronological order. Released in 2005 on the Game Boy Advance. Unlike the rest of the Banjo-Kazooie games, this one is a racer.
The second game in the series and the forth in chronological order. Released in 2000 on the Nintendo 64. Banjo and Kazooie must stop the zombie-like Gruntilda from sucking the life force out of all living things with her Big-O-Blaster.
The fifth game in the series. Banjo Threeie was set to be released for the GameCube back in 2003, but due to Microsoft buying out Rare, it was cancelled. Afterwards, it was originally planned for the Xbox, but like many of other Rare projects, it was cancelled for that console as well. Now it is believed to be released on the Xbox 360 and possibly the DS soon.
