This page lists the BAFTA award winners for each year. The award is split in two: Best Film from any source, and Best British Film. The film title highlighted in bold is the winner of its respective year, those not in bold are the nominees.
Until 1960, and then sporadically later on, the awards for Best Film were not handed out to any one person, rather, the film, as a whole, received the award. This information is listed as such due to the fact that IMDb do not list anyone having received the award prior to 1960, and then throughout the 70's. In 1968, the two awards were joined into a singular "Best Film" award.
