An automobile repair shop is a place where automobiles are repaired and auto mechanics work. Some, but not all, auto repair shops also serve as auto part stores where parts can be purchased even if not installed. Notable automobile repair chain shops include shops selling parts such as; Pep Boys, Strauss Auto and AutoZone. and shops not selling parts independently, such as Midas Muffler (specialising in mufflers and brakes) and Belle Tire (specializing in tires). Some automobile dealers have repair shops or service departments as adjuncts, as do some major retail chains, such as Sears and Sam's Club, at some locations.
