Atiyyah Ramadan Ellison (born September 29, 1981 in St. Louis, Missouri) is a defensive tackle who plays for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League.

Ellison was taken in the 3rd round (89th overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft. Ellison attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he started 31 of 36 games for the Tigers at defensive tackle and defensive end. He made the All-Big 12 Conference team his junior and senior years. Before attending Missouri, he played his freshman year at Coffeyville Community College, where he started 9 of 10 games.

High school career


As a senior at Parkway South High School in Saint Louis, Ellison had 3 sacks and 47 tackles. He was ranked one of the top defensive lineman in the Midwest, won All-State honors, and was an All-Metro choice.
