The Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada is the voice of Canada's universities. Formed in 1911, they represent Canadian Universities and Colleges in Canada and abroad. They represent 90 Canadian public and private not-for-profit universities and university-degree level colleges.
Canada has no formal system of institutional accreditation for universities, but membership in AUCC in conjunction with a provincial charter may be accepted in lieu of institutional accreditation.
