Ashtānga Samgraha is a great classical book of Ayurvedaic medical science. The book is compilled, edited and recomposed by the Vagvhatta 2nd.

Description


The book consists of the teachings of the three great maestros: Ayurveda Charak , Sushruta and Vagabhtta 1st, who had written Astang Hridya. Vagabhatta 2nd assimilated the teachings of all the three maestros, along with his own experiences, into one voluminous book and renamed it Astanga Sangraha.

The book deals in the eight sections of Ayurveda, known as Astanga Ayurveda, the eight fold sections of Ayurveda. The book is divided into six sections known as :

  1. Sutra Sthan
  2. Uttar Sthan
  3. Shareer Sthan
  4. Nidan Sthan
  5. Chikitsa Sthan
  6. Kalpa Siddhi sthan
