Amaryllidaceae
 

Amaryllidaceae is the botanical name of a family of flowering plants. Such a family has not been universally recognized by taxonomists.

The APG II system, 2003, does not recognize such a family, not as such, but allows it to be segregated from the family Alliaceae, as an optional segregate. The APG system, of 1998, did accept this as a separate family. In as far as APG II accepts this family it is placed in the order Asparagales, in the clade . It then consists of about sixty genera (see list of genera), with over eight hundred species.

The family Amaryllidaceae then consists of herbaceous perennials that grow from bulbs, and quite a few are commonly grown in gardens, including:
