The Blessed Amadeus IX (1435–1472), surnamed the Happy was the Duke of Savoy from 1465 to 1472.

He married Yolande of Valois (1434–1478), sister of Louis XI of France and daughter of Charles VII of France.

They had 10 children:

Since his beatification the Catholic Church venerates him, with a liturgical feast on March 30.
