Alaska Pacific University (APU) is a small liberal arts college located in Anchorage, Alaska, that emphasizes experiential learning. The university is a member of the Eco League, a group of six small universities and colleges with strong programs in environmental studies and related topics.

History


The university was chartered in 1957 as Alaska Methodist University. The first students were enrolled in 1960. The university was renamed Alaska Pacific University in 1978.
