Adnan al Taliani (Arabic: عدنان الطلياني) (born 30 October 1964) is a football player from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He started playing football in the 1970s in the streets of the United Arab Emirates, and lived out his childhood in Sharjah. He then joined Al Shaab Club in 1980, and played there until 1999.
Upon the selection of Muhajirani (the former trainer of the Iran national team) as the trainer of the U.A.E. national team, Adnan was selected for that team.
Notably, he retired from international football in 1997 as the all-time leader in international appearances, with 164. As of January 2006, he is still tied for fourth on the all-time list for men. In January 1999, U.S. women's star Kristine Lilly surpassed his total with her 165th cap, and has added 137 more (as of January 23, 2006) in an international career that still continues.
